National Caregivers Day


The third Friday in February marks a very special day! It’s a day that has been marked as National Caregivers Day, to honor and celebrate those that dedicate themselves to helping others. They don’t wear capes, but caregivers are real-life heroes who help and care for those who need it most. They are changing lives for the better!


What all do HomeCourt caregivers do?


Personal Care

  • Mobility and transfer assistance

  • Bathing/showering

  • Toileting assistance

  • Dressing and grooming assistance

  • Hair care assistance

  • Oral care assistance

  • Medication reminders

  • Nail care

  • Shaving assistance

  • Monitoring eating habits and encouraging healthy diet

Light Homemaking Services

  • Changing bed linens

  • Cleaning bathroom, kitchen, living areas

  • Vacuum/sweep/mop

  • Dusting

  • Laundry

  • Meal preparation

Companionship

  • Errands/Shopping

  • Recreational activities

  • Transportation

  • Making appointments

  • Checking mail

Other

  • Respite Support for family

  • Additional support care for seniors in assisted or independent living

  • Up to 24-hour care

  • Help with various projects that clients would like help with- organizing, light gardening, crafting, etc.
